Just a few short weeks ago I was presenting my final research from a summer as an Amgen Scholar at UC Berkeley. Now I am heading off for the next adventure of a lifetime. 106 days, 11 countries, 13 cities, and 4 continents: I am embarking on a Semester at Sea for my final fall semester. I'll be doing my best to update this blog as often as possible, but have patience- I'm applying to graduate school and attempting to travel the world at the same time...

We started off in Germany where we explored a quaint little town named Stade for a day, and spent a day roaming around Hamburg. We found ourselves at the Dialogue House where we took a blind simulation tour that was incredibly enlightening, and then walked the city of Hamburg, seeing the view at 105 m from St. Michael's Church. Our hotel is directly across from the airport, so we had to navigate the train system to get anywhere, and I'd say we accomplished this seemlessly!

I'm posting a few photos of our short time in Germany, and take a look at some of my new friends! We board the ship tomorrow in Bremerhaven, Germany and will begin orientation and classes as we embark for Spain!
